Our Services
Companion Animal Mental Health Policy
At LSAH, we consider the mental health of a pet just as important and serious as their physical health. More than ever, we are meeting anxious, frightened, and potentially aggressive companion animals in our practice. We aim to manage your pet’s anxiety in everyday life experiences as well as veterinary visits. Our veterinarians may choose to recommend behavioral training and/or prescribe medications to help your furry family member be more comfortable, relaxed and safe during their visit with us.
In order to keep your pet and our staff safe, Lake Stevens Animal Hospital reserves the right to deny services in the event such medical and training recommendations are refused.
What we offer
-
Lake Stevens Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary facility, offering state-of-the-art in-patient care for ill, injured, or surgical patients.
We are equipped with an electrocardiograph (EKG) and blood pressure/pulse oximetry monitors that are used to monitor all of our anesthetic patients. We perform a wide range of surgeries on a heated surgery table using the safest anesthetics possible. Our patients recover in heated kennels for extra comfort and safety.
We work together with many trusted board-certified specialists for problems as varied as advanced surgery, cardiology, dermatology, oncology and more. Our team will work with you to find the correct solution to your pet’s medical condition, educating you on procedures and options.
-
To keep a strong doctor-patient and doctor-client relationship, as well as to stay ahead of any health changes, we provide yearly complete wellness exams and twice yearly exams for our senior pets or those with chronic illnesses.
This includes a head-to-tail examination along with updating any vaccinations, discussions of diet and behavior issues, and keeping medications and prescriptions authorized for the year.
-
Our hospital is equipped with digital radiology with X-rays being interpreted by a board-certified radiologist.
Our in-house diagnostic laboratory saves time for our clients by providing on-site urinalysis and urine cultures, fecal and cytology results when needed. We also use the services of an extensive diagnostic laboratory for more specialized lab work.
-
Not sure if your pet needs dental care?
We offer complimentary oral/dental health exams for cooperative patients. Call to make a free appointment for this important service.
-
Clients will pay an enrollment fee for each pet they wish to enroll in the program. Every year we will see the pet for a paid wellness exam. That pet will then continue to receive its vaccines free of charge for the rest of their life as long as he/she has that annual wellness exam.
We will discuss recommended vaccines at each visit, tailoring the vaccine protocol to each individual pet. Lake Stevens Animal Hospital provides only the safest, most effective vaccines and never "pushes" for unnecessary vaccines. CLICK HERE for more details.

We believe optimum nutrition is vital to long-term health so we provide weight management, nutrition counseling and feeding calculations as part of our complete medical care.
-
We have a well equipped in-house pharmacy that can provide for most of our patient's needs. For any prescriptions, including those not available in-house, LSAH offers the convenience of an online pharmacy that allows clients to order their medications for home delivery. CLICK HERE to be directed to the online pharmacy.
We have limited returns depending on whether the product is sold within our hospital and whether the product is still in its original packaging and sealed. Prescription medications not in their original packaging and/or unsealed are non-returnable. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding a return.

Using specifically researched wavelengths of light, cold laser therapy works to increase blood flow and decrease inflammation in the body. Multiple applications include dental disease, musculoskeletal disease or injury (including arthritis, hip dysplasia, fractures, and more), ear infections, post-surgery healing, and many more.

With our in-house ultrasound machine, we provide minor diagnostic care to our patients.
For more extensive care we have the pleasure of working with a mobile ultrasound specialist who works in the greater Seattle area providing ultrasounds to our patients on a non-emergency basis.
*PLEASE NOTE* An initial examination with an LSAH vet will be required for new clients.
-
We work with a mobile radiologist and cardiologist to perform ultrasounds and provide thorough heart evaluations.
They bring their expertise and skills to our location, saving clients time and money when compared to referring patients out to a specialist location.
